The addition of a full QWERTY keyboard separates the new Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini Pro from its sister handset, the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini. A compact handset as the name suggests, the X10 Mini Pro comes equipped with a raft of useful features.

Users can customise the ringtones with this phone by utilising MP3 files for this purpose. As expected, users are alerted to incoming calls and messages via a combination of vibration as well as ringing. In order to talk hands free, a speakerphone system is included along with a 3.5mm audio jack which accommodates handsfree headsets.

128 MB of internal memory is provided as standard. This offers storage space for data such as music or video files. Further storage can be obtained by using the micro SD slot, which has a 2 GB memory card pre-installed, however a card of up to 16 GB can be accommodated. The internal phonebook can store a practically unlimited number of entries and includes the popular and useful photocall feature.

The 2.55″ TFT capacitive touchscreen provides good quality display of on screen images, thanks to the ability to display up to 16 million colours within 240×320 pixels. As mentioned, a full QWERTY keyboard slides out from behind the screen, offering an efficient method of text input. The screen also features an accelerometer sensor and is manufactured from scratch resistant materials.

A versatile media player supports most of the common video and music file formats. Additional entertainment features include stereo FM radio playback and a variety of games. Applications offering access to popular sites such as Google and YouTube are also included.

The popular Android operating system runs the user interface, and this handles demanding applications with ease when coupled with a 600MHz processor.

Available in Black and Red, both tech-savvy users and the style conscious are catered for, and its compact size is sure to make the Xperia X10 Mini Pro a popular handset.
