Since its release in October 2009, the LG GD510 Pop has proven to be a popular handset. The appeal looks sure to grow based on the new Pink colour variant offered by the manufacturer. The LG GD510 Pop Pink measures 97.8×49.5×11.2mm and weighs 87 grams, its light weight making it comfortable ho hold and use. An accelerometer sensor allows the screen to be viewed in both portrait and landscape forms based on the orientation of the phone.

The phonebook can store up to an impressive 1000 contacts and includes the useful and popular photo call feature. 42 MB of internal memory is included for storage of data such as media files and other data; however this can be increased to up to 16 GB by utilising the micro SD slot and installing a larger memory card.

To stay connected to networks when on the move, the GD510 Pop Pink utilises Class 12 version of both GPRS and EDGE in areas with little or no 3G connectivity. To share files with friends, in the same vicinity, Bluetooth version 2.1 is installed as standard. To connect the handset to a computer, a micro USB connection is provided so that a range of tasks can be carried out. These include transferring media files and backing up data such as contact info.

The LG GD510 Pop Pink comes equipped with a built in digital camera boasting 3.15 mega pixels (2048×1536), and has the capability to shoot video in QVGA quality (15 frames per second) as an alternative to taking still images.

Most common formats of both music and video files are supported by the built in media player, allowing the phone to double up as an effective entertainment device. Alternative entertainment options include stereo FM radio playback and a selection of games. Social networking fans are sure to appreciate applications which allow direct access to sites such as Facebook, MySpace and Twitter.

As well as the Pink colour variant, the handset is also available in Black and Silver, so as well as its functionality, it is sure to appeal as a fashion statement amongst style conscious mobile phone users.
