The recently released HD Mini from renowned manufacturers HTC boasts an impressive spec list for a handset of its size. As the name would suggest, it is a compact handset, yet this does not stop it from maintaining a high level of functionality.
Internal storage for data such as media files is in the shape of 384 MB as standard, however a micro SD slot is provided for the same purpose. This can accommodate a memory card of up to 32 GB for a vast amount of storage and should be adequate to store most people’s entire music collections. The internal phonebook can store a seemingly endless number of contacts and includes the popular and useful photocall feature.
The HD Mini is of course a compact handset. Its actual dimensions are 103.8×57.7×11.7mm, and it is also relatively light weight a t 110 grams. This makes it pocket friendly and a comfortable phone to operate on the move. It is finished in an appealing black colour scheme.
The 3.2 inch TFT capacitive touch screen utilises a pixel layout of 320×480 to display up to 65K colours. This provides a high level of display clarity and brightness. This makes it perfect for viewing pictures and watching video files. The inbuilt accelerometer sensor provides an auto rotate function which allows the screen to automatically rotate therefore making it able to be viewed in both portrait and landscape forms.
The internet and cellular networks rely on a number of methods to stay connected. Class 10 versions of both GPRS & EDGE provide the HD Mini with its cellular network connections in areas with little or no 3G coverage. An array of additional applications and features make the HTC HD Mini an appealing all rounder. The internal media player supports most formats of music and video files that you are likely to come across. A stereo FM radio player and choice of games are also provided to keep users entertained. Pocket Office which is compatible with a range of document types is sure to appeal to business users, who can stay productive even when they are out of the office.
As one would expect, the HTC HD Mini comes equipped with an impressive digital camera. It boasts 5 mega pixels and operates at a pixel resolution of 2592×1944 pixels, so the level of detail and clarity is high. It includes autofocus so it is simple to take high quality snapshots. Video can also be shot with the camera in CIF quality at 15 frames per second.
