Article Source: http://www.articlesbase.com/ – The HD Mini By HTC Offers An Extensive Spec List
From a 5MP camera to Wi-Fi internet access, the HTC HD Mini is a smartphone which ticks all the boxes in terms of both functionality and aesthetics. Despite its impressive spec list, the phone is a compact handset which further adds to its appeal.
The HTC HD Mini provides an aesthetically pleasing alternative, in a black finish and coated on the same soft touch material as several other HTC models. The handset itself measures just 103.8x 57.7x 11.7mm making it pocket friendly especially given its light weight of 110 grams.
In order to navigate the HTC Sense UI, a generous 3.2 inch TFT capacitive touchscreen is provided which utilises a pixel layout of 320x 480 pixels, which when coupled with its ability to display up to 65K colours, makes for excellent quality viewing of photos and video footage. The HTC Sense user interface is highly customisable, and allows homescreens to be equipped with apps and widget of the user’s choosing. The screen also features an accelerometer sensor. This works by sensing the orientation of the phone and automatically rotates the on screen content so it can be viewed in both portrait and landscape forms. This makes it perfect for viewing photos and full screen video footage.
As well as the standard internal memory, there is a micro SD slot located on the HTC HD Mini. This can accommodate a memory card of up to 32GB, allowing plenty of files to be stored; indeed this is enough for most people’s entire digital music collection. The internal phonebook can store a practically unlimited number of entries and fields and also has the photocall feature which allows users to assign a photo to a contact and this is then displayed on the screen whenever the contact calls.
The 5MP camera has a pixel resolution of 2592x 1944, which results in great quality still images, as well as the option to shoot video footage on VGA quality at a rate of 30 frames per second. Autofocus and touch focus are provided to simplify the task of taking great quality images.
In order to browse the internet, the HTC HD Mini utilises Opera Mobile as its default web browser, with 3G internet speeds of up to 7.2 Mbps courtesy of an HSDPA connection. When available, a Wi-Fi connection can provide a faster browsing experience. Entertainment features of the HTC HD Mini include a versatile internal media player, a stereo FM radio player with RDS and a selection of pre-installed games along with dedicated social networking applications for FaceBook and Twitter.
Whether you are a business or social user, the HTC HD Mini is sure to provide appeal to a whole cross section of users, as it has the specifications and aesthetics to cater to people from all walks of life.
