Making a comparison between two smart phones is a very tough task for everyone. The job gets even tougher, when the two handsets you have to compare are the HTC Touch and the Nokia N97. Both these handsets were produced by renowned brands, and both are packed with interesting features.

Below are the features of both the HTC Touch and the Nokia N97, worked out separately for better comparison:

HTC TOUCH

The HTC Touch, 146 GMS phone is already available in the market, and comes in both 2G and 3G network.

The HTC Touch comes with a staggering 3.8 inch TFT resistive touchscreen phone, with 65k colours. A very trendy phone indeed. Other display features include TOUCH FLO 3D finger swipe navigation, accelerometer sensor for auto rotate, touch sensitive navigation control, proximity sensor for auto turn off and handwriting recognition.

The HTC Touch also comes with an internal memory of 288 MB RAM and 512 MB ROM built in, apart from an external MICRO SD card slot. The HTC Touch has a photocall phonebook which can store unlimited contacts. Unlimited call records can also be stored in the HTC Touch.

Data features include GPRS, EDGE, 3G, WLAN BLUETOOTH and USB.

A 5 Mp primary camera with auto focus comes built in the HTC Touch, and besides that, there is also a secondary VGA video call camera and CIF@30fps video camera.

The HTC Touch works on MICROSOFT windows mobile 6.1 professional OS, and has features like fm radio A-GPS, JAVA MIDP v2.0, pocket office, voice memo and MP3 player.

The HTC Touch comes only in black colour with WAP v2.0/XHTML and HTML browser.

NOKIA N-97

Like HTC touch, the Nokia N-97 also comes in both 2G and 3G versions.

An internal memory of 32 GB comes with the Nokia N-97, and this can be extended with an external micro SD card, that would go in the provided micro SD slot.

A speaker phone with stereo speakers and standard 3.5 MM audio jack plays vibration, downloadable polyphonic and MP3 ringtones clearly. Phone plays music very clearly with its mp3/wma/wav/eaac player. The Nokia N-97 also comes with a TV-OUT function is also there.

GPRS, HSCSD, EDGE, 3G, WLAN BLUETOOTH and MICRO USB are amongst the data features provided on the Nokia N-97.

The phone comes equipped with a 5 megapixel primary camera with famous good quality, CARLZEISS OPTICS, LED flash and auto focus. A secondary video call camera and VGA@30fps video camera are also available.

The Nokia N-97 works on SYMBIAN OS V9.4 and has JAVA MIDP v2.0 feature.
